Bergen Card

With free entrance or great discounts on over 30 museums and attractions, the Bergen Card is the cheapest and most practical way to explore Bergen

• Public transport

Travel for free on buses in Bergen and in the region. The Bergen light railway is also free. If you arrive by plane in Bergen, you can use the Bergen Light Railway to go to the center of Bergen. (Total travel time is about 50 minutes). However, please note that the card is not valid on NSB trains.

Beware: the airport bus from the city center of Bergen to Bergen Airport Flesland airport is not included in the Bergen Card.

• Entertainment

With the Bergen Card you get access to an impressive range of entertainment that is suitable for everyone. Bergen is a World Heritage City and Cultural Capital of Europe, which offers unique cultural and historical experiences throughout the year. The Bergen Card gives you good discounts on concerts, cinemas, theaters and many other entertainment centers in Bergen. You can watch a movie, go to the Bergen International Theater (BIT) or enjoy a concert with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra.

• Restaurants and shopping:

With the Bergen Card you can enjoy discounts in numerous restaurants and shops.

• Parking:

Parking is not really a problem in Bergen. The city has several large parking garages, where you can safely park your car. With the Bergen Card you get great discounts at ByGarasjen, the largest interior parking in Bergen.

The Bergen Card is activated on first use and is valid for a period that depends on the type of card. For example, if you arrive on August 30 and want to activate your card on August 31, that is possible. The activation of the card takes place in one of the 2 pick-up points (you will have to indicate when you want to activate the card).

The card is valid for a consecutive number of hours from the first use. For example, if you start at 13.45 on Monday with your first attraction, you can use the card until 1.45pm on Tuesday.

During the validity period of your card you can use the buses and trains (Light Railway) in Bergen free of charge.

Choose to pick up the card at the Tourist Information or at the Service Center at Bergen Airport Flesland. (Please note that on the Service Center at the Airport you can only collect your card, they do not sell Bergen Cards.)

The Tourist Information is located on the Fish Market and is open:

- June-Aug: Daily 8.30-22

- May and Sept: Daily 9-20

- Rest of the year: Mon-Sat: 9-16

The Service Center at Bergen Airport Flesland is open:

Daily from 08 am-22 pm

The card can not be canceled or refunded.
